Ha! I wonder who had just bought themselves a wacom tablet!!
Even though I'd render the image differently now, (a little lighter on the wacom, I think!) I'm quite pleased with the substance of my text here (and in the previous image), as I remember that thought being a big part of my LIFE ETHOS back then.
I grew up in a house full of crucifixions, and I remember equating the idea of the crucified Christ with The painfully bleeding Word (with all of the Christian message taken out)... Yikes! A mixture of pot-boiled Georges Bataille philosophy and my own martyr complex!
I remember another great phrase (borrowed from Bataille, I think) being something to do with philosophers being like housewives, trying to tidy up something that can never be tidied... oo, actually, I think he was talking about dust...
